The Hottest 2015 Summer Floristry Trends In Edmonton
Summer is now officially here and at the Best Buds store we are gearing up for a very busy wedding season.
One of the fun things about making custom flower arrangements everyday is that we get to see the which colors and flowers are falling in and out of favor so we thought it would be fun to share with you what flower trends we are seeing for summer 2015 in Edmonton:
We are seeing our wedding clients bringing in burlap and wood elements into their weddings. They are placing our arrangements under birch slices and adding twine and lace elements to bring a more homely, rustic feel to their special day. We are seeing clients use mason jars, soda bottles and other vintage looking containers to hold flowers.
The rustic shabby/chic look started trending last summer, but has proven to be a popular trend again this year in Edmonton. Check out our previous blog article that gives you ideas on how to put on a rustic style wedding.
Another wedding trend we are seeing more of is brides wearing flowers in their hair for a vivid summer wedding look.

Some of the more common colors we are been asked for this spring has been light pink, light peach and mint green and we see that trend continuing through the summer months These softer, more subtle colors can work great not only for a rustic style or shabby chic wedding but also a more traditional style wedding and look great in a bouquet with a stunning white dress.

Seasonally and locally sourced flowers have been a growing trend in Edmonton now for a few years and this year we are seeing more people looking for arrangements that incorporate flowers you would find in your garden that are fuller and textured such as peonies, hydrangeas and even succulents.
